Add a slideshow as the header

  I want to ask is it possible to have a couple of images showing one after another as my header like as if its a slideashow?

  It’s not possible to add such a header to your existing theme, but there are other themes that do support sliders towards the top of the homepage. You can see some of those themes at https://wordpress.com/themes/filter/staff-picks+post-slider/
