Add a star as a "tip of the day" – is it possible?

I want to add a star as a “tip of the day” in a bright colour – I use theme Linen. Anybody knows how to. Maybe its a plugin – but I cant find the plug ins (sorry – very new). Hope you can help. Trine Baadgaard

You can upload a star image into your Media Library and then insert it into your tip of the day posts. You can enable star ratings > http://en.support.wordpress.com/ratings/ But you cannot upload a plugin. There is no FTP access to free hosted WordPress.COM blogs like the one linked to your username and we cannot install individual plugins. Those found on the internet are for WordPress.ORG installs which run on different software.
