Add a text box to a custom header?

    I would like to add a text box around the blog name. Right now the blog name does not stand out from the custom header photo, so we have put it in red, which looks awful. One suggestion is to create a box around the text — the box could be a solid color to add emphasis to the name.

    The theme is Digg 3 column.

    is it possible to do this, and if so, how (for a novice).

    You can edit your photo in an image editing application to incorporate the name as a graphic. Upload that version, and click “Hide Text” so that the actual blog name doesn’t show as well.
