  Dear great WordPress

  Why can’t I add a new theme to my WordPress site? Normally it stands right of the number of themes. But now I can’t find the ‘Add a new theme’ nowhere…
  Hopefully you can fix it!

  Dear Wout Bonhomme,

  You can choose from a variety of WordPress.com themes (free or premium themes you can purchase) and add a new one to your site.

  WordPress.com is not able to support uploading of custom WordPress themes on their service. The “Add New” option you mentioned is available for self-hosted sites using the WordPress.org software.

  Here you can find a step-by-step guide on how you can change and activate your new theme on WordPress.com: support.wordpress.com/themes
