  Hello – We have a blog connected to our email address but would also like to create a website. We have the domain name and i cant understand how to start a website with our own domain name which we already have the rights too through godaddy.

  https://wordpress.com/start/

  Once you start the process, you’ll be asked for the domain, and will be walked through the steps of using it here. You can learn about those steps here:
