  My partner set up an account in his name. I need to add an account in my name. I can’t find the page where I do that.

  It sounds like you want to have a username under that particular blog. The easiest way to do this is to have your friend go to the admin panel, and under users click on invite new.

  From that screen your friend will be able to invite you by your email address or WordPress.com account, and assign your username a role such as administrator, follower, editor, etc.
