Add an e-mail address entry box into a post
-
I’m writing a post and would like to enter a box for readers to enter their e-mail address (to be added to our new e-newsletter distribution list). However, I can’t figure out how to do it. Can someone please help?
Basically, I want the text to say something like, “Enter your e-mail address below to be added to the distribution list” and then there would be a simple box to enter (instead of a link to e-mail us directly). Make sense?
Thanks!

An email “box” for them to enter their email addresses in would be a form, and forms are not allowed here at wordpress.COM due to security concerns.
You can use the “contact page” and then put a link to it within your post.

You could also create a “mail” link which would open a new email and you can actually even specify a subject for the email.
Click here to sign up for our email newsletter. In your post, clicking on “click here to sign up for our email newsletter” would open a new email for the user with the subject “subscribe to newsletter”. The
%20has to be between each word to create the space. -

No, but there are several places online where you can do it.

You can also ask them to leave a comment, in which case you’ll have their email and nobody else will be able to see it.
