"Add an image" button on posts not working

Could this be my dialup at fault or a bug somewhere? I’ve never had this problem before. It’s just that one button that has quit. Noticed it a few days ago, came back today and it’s the same. I press on that button and nothing happens. I’ve had to copy codes from my finished posts and use them to help me in typing image links the hard way… This works but it’s a pain…

The “Add an Image” button is working for me, but it’s inserting all my images at the top of my post rather than where I want it to. Most of the time, I want the image beneath my text. This just starting happening this week, and I’m beyond frustrated.

Sounds like you’re both using Internet Explorer. It’s a known problem that staff are working on.

Thank you – I’m glad to hear that, although I’m a bit concerned. They had an issue with the hover images last year, and they were never restored…

It’ll be easier in future if you post the link to your blog, starting with http. I was honestly just guessing on your part, because I have no idea what blog you’re talking about or even if you’re using WordPress. Fully a third of the people who attempt to use this forum don’t.

@raincoaster, I use Firefox, haven’t used IE for yonks….still don’t even have version 9 downloaded, lol! So it’s possible that the trouble is in all browsers…
@mrenearch, It was within the past week that my problem began, too… I’m going back in now, to see whether the button is working (and for me it just wasn’t working at all, period) but I’m willing to bet it isn’t… I hope the PTB can fix that issue pronto…

Oddly enough, if you right click the “add image” icon, the dialog opens on another page. And you can insert urls for images there. But, after you do, they will not show up on your post (neither in html format or in visual mode)…

As mentioned, I can copy and paste my html around and about, and get already-stored (elsewhere) images to show up that way. But, we do need our button….
I contacted the Staff too, so we’ll wait and see what transpires.

I, too, have the same problem as mreanearch. My “add an image” button works okay, but it posts the images obove the text. I hope it can be corrected soon, as I am rather new at this, and I don’t know what the heck I can do about it. :-)
