Add art portfolio to my WP blog

  I want to consolidate my external art portfolio website with my WP blog using a portfolio theme on WP. My concerns/questions about how to do this are listed below. Any suggestions or advice on any of these items would be GREATLY appreciated!!!:

  1. Can I set up a gallery for a collection of images (e.g. Portraits) that allows a caption for each image (including a description, price and a link to purchase offsite) AND with each image having its own url in order to link to that image from elsewhere? If so, how to do so?

  2. Ideally the gallery would also allow a manual slideshow with arrows to the next image AND the ability to view individual images large (full screen ideally). If so, how to do so?

  3. I need nested/drop-down menus (e.g under Portfolio I want menus for Portraits, Landscapes, Oil, Watercolor, etc.). I assume that’s possible on most themes.

  4. I own 2 URLs, JanasJournal.com currently directs to janabouc.wordpress.com. The other, JanaBouc.com, goes to my website currently hosted on Network Solutions. I think that I can direct both of them to janabouc.wordpress.com but can’t direct them to individual pages. Is it best to have a landing page from which people can choose blog or portfolio or is there a better way that doesn’t require clicking to see the blog?

  To do so, is it possible to have a landing page with an image and excerpt of the current blog post in a left column linked to the actual blog and an image representing the portfolio home page with link to the real portfolio home page on the right? If so, how to?

  I know some html but not CSS and am hoping to accomplish this without spending weeks of my time as it’s taken in the past to build a website. I want to keep it simple and clean and use the powerful WP.com to make it easier to keep my website updated.
