add buttons to the blogroll – need advice please!
-
I am using wordpress.com and I would like to add buttons to other websites and images into my blogroll.
Is that possible with the hosted version? Thanks
Susan -
When you add a link, there is an area for a link to images down near the bottom under Advanced. I know that works for some themes – not sure if it works for all.
Also – you may want to link your blog to you user name as explained in the sticky at the top of the forum. (Your user name is linked to another website right now.) That way, it makes it easier for volunteers in the forum to look at your blog when you have issues.
-
Also by linking your name to your blog it will serve the purposes…
If you need to ask a support question in the forum then it will make it easier for the volunteers to see what blogging platform your using & will aide them in giving you a more accurate answer to your issue.

Sorry to be so dense, but then how is a blogroll different than the LINKS? Is blogroll just to link blogs?
-
Blogroll is the name of the category of links that is most often used. You can use a different category name if you like.

One more question though:
Can I download images and buttons from my computer or do I have to have them on lets say photobucket or any other place in the internet and then download from there? -
You can upload the images to your wordpress blog
or you can use Photobucket & use the link or HTMl
optionI use photo bucket, (Link option)to be able
to use the link option write new post or page
then click on the media up loader icon then
half way down the pop up window you see link source.
Paste link there then click non or link to image then
click insert to post. -
Oops this is for a blogroll I didn’t read that part
Please follow these steps first by following this link ->

is inserted in to the post click the image click the
edit icon on the image input site link your linking to
then click update click on the HTML tab on the editor
copy code.Step 2. Dash Board -> design -> Widgets -> add text widget
Name it like blog roll insert image HTML. then click change

To add more images repeat all the steps again. Also while your editing image you can chose the image
