Add byline code in Sela theme
-
I am trying to add an author byline- that is hyperlinked to the author’s bio and other work– to my site that runs the Sela theme. I don’t know what the code is or how I add it in the CSS customizer.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, Sela will show the author on a multi-author blog, but not on blogs that have only a single author. In some themes, on single author sites, the author is simply hidden, but on Sela the HTML for the author is not generated on the posts. If the HTML was there, but hidden, we could simply un-hide it.
You can create another user account and set that user as an author on your site and then publish one post by that additional author and then the author byline will show on the posts.
Alternately, if you do not wish to do the above, you can add your own byline at the top of every post and then link it to the author page: http://notanothermillennial.com/author/author_display_name/
You would replace author_display_name with the author display name you have set in your profile.

I tried adding an author, and it still seems like the byline is not showing up. Do I have to create an author page as well before it appears?

Did you publish a post as the second author? You need to have two authors published on your site in order for the bylines to display.
If you have then reply with a link to a post by both authors so we can investigate.
