add column to right of sidebar?

    I’m modding the twentyten theme and would like to create a column (holding static content and a search box) to the right of the sidebar… basically, I have made the sidebar wider and want to split it in two equal cols.

    I can’t start over with a 3 col layout as too much has been hacked in this one.

    Any suggestions?
