Add columns and increas thumbnails

Hi,
By some strange reason, my website after upgrading to 4.0 has now only one column where all my thumbnails are piled up on top of each other. I would like them to be 4 and the thumbnails bigger so that they take up the whole page. As before.

I’m not a hacker, and is a bit desperate by now, after spent hours and hourse in the custom CCS- djungle.
Anyone here that knows what to do?
