Add Copyright to footer?
-
Hi, I was wondering if it is possible to add a copyright to the footer without upgrading?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)
-
It looks like your theme supports a Footer Widget area – you can add the copyright (or a link to the full copyright notice) in one of the footer widget areas – that is free – to get the copyright added to the existing footer requires the CSS upgrade
-
Hi! I have upgraded to the premium package… could someone tell me how to include a copyright link at the bottom?

A link please :-) and down where it says a wordpess site, and customized mystique theme.
-
In that case you must first drag an untitled Text widget into one of the footer widget areas and create the link in it. If you don’t know how to, see this post of mine:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/04/01/codes-useful-for-text-widgets/
But “down” isn’t any more precise than “bottom”. Where exactly in relation to the footer credits? (above them? below them? copyright left and credits right? vv?) -
I don’t care if they are above, below or beside the “Blog at WordPress.com” and “Customized Mystique Theme” Links… its all the same to me, so long as its right DOWN in that bottom section I’m happy. Out of the way … accessible if people need to find it but not in the way under a sub-menu.

Sigh, preventing another angry message i guess…
How about we say to the left side of both of the other links please.
Thank you for your help.

Here is a support document that will help in creating linked text for a text widget: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/text-widget-links/

There is no widget area below the 4 widget areas where i am asking for it to be put. I would like it beside the “Blog at WordPress.com” and “Customized Mystique Theme” Links… to the left please. Not in a widget box.
Is that possible?
For example on your site, Justpi, http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/
Down the bottom you have moved the “Blog at WordPress.com. The Morning After Theme.” links to the right side of the page, and you have inserted your own link “wordpress tips” on the left side footer area. This does not seem to be a widget. That area on Mystique theme doesn’t seem to have any easy customization widget in the very bottom below the 4 other footer widgets, to add a text box to add a link into.
Hopefully this all makes sense.
Thank you both for your help so far! :-)

There is no CSS upgrade on the blog you refer to at all. Please note that all CSS editing is theme specific editing and both justpi and thesacredpath answered your question. All widgets are here > Appearance > Widgets
Select a text widget and put your copyright info in it first. Then they will help you will use CSS editing ie. position absolute to place it in the footer. -
You need to make a text Widget FIRST – make it somewhere – then someone will help you move the Widget where you want it – until you make the text widget as noted above nobody can do anything to help you – both of the people that you refuse to help know exactly what needs to be done – until you follow their directions – no progress will be made – and you are wasting their time

I was referring to this but now I’m over and I’m out.For example on your site, Justpi, http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/

Thank you! Finally! Someone that makes sense!

They were both unclear that it was only a first step rather than a final fix. As far as i could see, they were trying to show me to put it elsewhere. The rudeness was unnecessary! :-(
Thank you timetheif for being clear with your response! I will do it now :-)
