Add DNS record for blog.eqgroup.com

    I have added a cname at Network solutions of
    eqgroup.wordpress.com blog.eqgroup.com.

    Please advise if that is the correct cname entry for our domain and what if any entries need to be made on wordpress.com.
    Some of your support information if very vague.

    I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain blog.eqgroup.com but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?

    To add the zone record, you’ll need to add the domain on your Store->Domains page at https://eqgroup.wordpress.com/wp-admin/paid-upgrades.php?page=domains

    Adding blog.eqgroup.com there will get you setup on our end!

    OK in quick reiew. Before dong anything when entering blog.eqgroup.com I was taken directly to my website. I went to your link and mistakenly entered eqgroup.com and now I dont get anywhere. I have tried to add blog.eqgroup.com as the primary domain at wordpress but it takes me to a credit card page. I have already paid for mapping. I have mapped other cnames and it has never been this difficult. Please tell me how to proceed or how to cancel my premium subscription. thank you

    Hi Brent,

    You can cancel the mistaken eqgroup.com entry at the Store->My Upgrades page. Since this has gone over the weekend, I went ahead and made the change out for you.

    With your premium membership, it includes the price of one custom domain, so when trying to add blog.eqgroup.com as a second custom domain, it was sending you to purchase the mapping for a second domain. After canceling the first one, the system restored your credit from your membership and accepts the already-paid mapping that was part of the premium upgrade.

    Thanks for making changes on the WordPress system. I have gone back to Network solutions and re-entered the CNAME eqgroup.wordpress.com blog.eqgroup.com.

    per your support doocumentation. I have done searches on both DNS entries via Google and both cannot be found. I will wait a few more hours to allow for propogation. Could you try a blog search on your side as well and advise?

    In the Refers to Host Name Setion do I select @ or www or just leave blank?

    You may need to empty your browser’s cache (instructions: Browser Issues) or clear your computer’s DNS cache (instructions: https://www.whatsmydns.net/flush-dns.html , though restarting your computer will clear it on Windows).

    For me, your site at http://blog.eqgroup.com/ is loading as expected.

    I’m afraid I’m not familiar with the Network Solutions control panel and that option doesn’t sound familiar with the various DNS systems I’ve worked with.
