Add DNS record for hausproductions.com

  I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain hausproductions.com but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?

  Hi there,

  Could you clarify what you’re trying to setup that requires the Zone Record?

  I see that you purchased a domain mapping for hausproductions.com but the name servers are not yet pointing to WordPress.com. Most registrars will allow you to adjust name servers without any work on Zone records:

  Please let me know how the Zone record is needed and we can get it figured out. :)

  Hi, I followed your instructions to change the name servers, and it first appeared to be successful, but later I found out that I need to have soa in order to successfully change the name servers. Would you be able to help? Thanks.

  There are sometimes restrictions on changing name servers like you mention, but these are almost always dealing with international registrars and their country-specific domain names. Your domain at hausproductions.com doesn’t seem to need any adjustments.

  In fact, there’s also already a zone record in place for it like you initially mentioned.

  According to a public WHOIS search, your domain is registered through eNom or one if its resellers. eNom doesn’t place any restrictions on changing the name servers for .com domains.

  You may want to reach out to the registrar where you purchased the domain name, with the sample email found here:

  https://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

  I would like to use my domain with a WordPress.com site. In order to do this, I need to point my domain’s name servers to the following:

  NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
  NS3.WORDPRESS.COM

  I do not want to transfer my domain, but want to leave it registered with you. WordPress.com does not permit mapping by setting an A record to point to an IP address. They require the name servers to be updated as described.

  I’m sure they can set these up for you. Once the name servers are pointed here at WordPress.com, you can setup any further custom DNS you’d like, but those name servers are the first step.
