Add DNS record for rowporty.org.uk
-
I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain rowporty.org.uk but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I have manually added a zone record for your domain.
You should now be able to map it here following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
Please let us know if you need any further assistance!

Sorry – maybe I’m missing something here, but I am completely confused still.
– That guide still tells me I need to update nameservers.
– The ‘zone record’ section of the guide still takes me to the ‘Add DNS Zone’ form – which I’ve already done! The options in my DNS settings at my registrar are to edit A records and CNames.
Why is this so difficult and poorly documented?
Sorry to be snotty, but this is unnecessarily complicated.

You’ll need to change your name servers to map your domain here.
We are unable to support using an A Record to map your domain.
A Records use an IP address or specific server, which we don’t support. Your site does not have a static IP address or specific server. Instead, requests to load your site are shifted between several IP addresses and servers in order to balance the demand on servers. This means that specifying an IP address or server won’t work.
You can direct your domain to your WordPress.com blog by changing your name servers to:
NS1.WORDPRESS.COM
NS2.WORDPRESS.COM
NS3.WORDPRESS.COMhttp://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/

Hi
Due to a mix up with colleagues, the blog I should have bought the domain mapping for is rowporty3.wordpress.com – not rowporty2!
Any chance you could delete the mapping from 2 and add it 3 for me? And a DNS record for rowporty.org.uk to rowporty3.wordpress.com?
Cheers

I won’t be able to transfer the mapping unless the blogs share the same user, which does not appear to be the case here, so I have canceled and refunded it instead.
You can add the mapped domain to the desired blog via Store -> Domains in the blog’s Dashboard.
