Add DNS record for smooee.com

    I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain smooee.com but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?

    I see that you’ve already mapped the domain successfully, it already has a zone record, and your blog loads properly from our end.

    Are you still seeing the same message?

    Thank you for your swift reply – it seems I need do no more from your response. If you can confirm I have understood you correctly, and can just leave it, I will leave it there.

    I will be doing the same thing for 3 more domains in the coming day, shall I follow the same process, even if the error message appears, and leave it in your most capable hands Bryan?

    (I can’t remember how I did it but will look on my other computer later – as that’s the maching I did it on.

    HI AGAIN BRYAN . .
    smoutube.com DNS is repeatedly coming up with an error message;
    We can’t save these records because they don’t look right to us. Check the errors below. Please contact support if you are unable to resolve the problem.

    MX 10 MAIL.SMOUTUBE.COM.
    (1) A MAIL.DESIGN2TV 27.124.113.129

    1. A records should be “A <subdomain> <IP>”

    Can you explain what the subdomain is please, this is the information I have from my email host . .

    davidsmouha.com –> mail.davidsmouha.com

    A record
    mail.davidsmouha.com –> 27.54.86.236

    This will be identical for smoutube.com, davidsmouha.com and smooee.com,
    your assistance will stream line my process for these remaining 3 domains,

    Bryan, I have just checked all the sites & they are all loading fine.
    SO it should be AOK now??

    Maybe this helps – this is what I used for my email and it looks close to yours

    A mail 255.255.255.255
    MX 10 mail.my-domain.com.

    Great question. If you see the same error message, please let me know the exact steps you took before it appeared, upload a screenshot image to your Media Library when you were mapping the domain, and we’ll be happy to take a closer look.

    Can you explain what the subdomain is please

    In mail.davidsmouha.com, the “mail” part is a subdomain. So, like auxclass pointed out, you can add the following DNS records in Store -> Domains -> Edit DNS (making sure to include the period at the end of the MX record):

    A mail 27.54.86.236
    MX 10 mail.davidsmouha.com.

    I have just checked all the sites & they are all loading fine.
    SO it should be AOK now??
