Add DNS record for wildwoodtherapies.com

    I’ve tried to add a Zone Record for the domain wildwoodtherapies.com but it asked me to contact support. Could you please add the Zone Record for me?

    I have purchased a domain name (wildwoodtherapies.com) through Go Daddy which has been mapped to WordPress and is working fine. I have also purchased an email address marcos@wildwood therapies.com through Go Daddy but can’t get it to work. Ive been told that I need to change the DNS or MX records. I have tried countless times to do this but can’t figure it out. I spoke to Go Daddy and they emailed me these 2 MX or DNS records (not sure what they’re called.)

    0 smpt.secureserver.net
    10 mailstore1.secureserver.net

    I believe the above need to be inserted somewhere for my email to work. I contacted WP support yesterday Re: above and received a promt reply from Kardotim. He replied that he had added a new DNS zone record for my domain but im not sure if that was Re: my email or domain name. It may be that what I’m asking has already been done but takes a bit of time for Go Daddy to validate MX records.

    is it possible for Go Daddy to host my domain as I’m able to speak with them over the phone to address any problems? This is all very new to me so am struggling a bit.

    Hi there,

    Your domain is correctly set up to map to your blog, and your zone record is just fine :)

    Your email DNS records were missing, so I did add those to your Dashboard > Store > Domains > edit DNS page:

    The email takes up to 72 hours to propagate, so you may have to wait up to 3 days to see your email working.

    You are certainly free to move your domain host anywhere you would like! However, at this point – since you have correctly set everything up – it could cause additional downtime for your domain (up to three days to change the name servers again). You aren’t able to transfer a domain for 60 days after purchase, but you are able to change the name servers to a new host if you would like. I can definitely help you get started on that process if you so wish (but I hope you stay!). Just let me know.
