Add Drop down to recent posts widget

    Some users in italian forum asked if it is possible to add an option to “Recent Post Widget” to Display as a drop down like the flag that is in the archive widget (http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/)

    This can be interesting also for other widget (comments, links, custom menu widget…).

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Although I’m all for seeing dropdown options on more widgets, I wonder if this is a good idea or not? I’m thinking people might not click on it to see the recent posts. Might be better to have it in their faces, so to speak. Since I’ve gone to two columns of posts with Inuit Types, I don’t even use it anymore because, well…. the most recent 8 posts are right there on my main page.

    Just thinking doing a dropdown on recent comments or recent posts might actually backfire. Pure speculation on my part of course.
