Add fade opening effect to menus ?

Well the blog I have called SWITCHED On, I have set a custom menu with submenu and sub-submenus so what I need to do is add a fade in or out effect when opening these tabs I have like the “Videos” tab!
Can anyone help me with that ?

Have your purchased an annually renewable custom design upgrade and is this a CSS editing question?

Do I have to have the the CSS editing upgrade to do that ?
I’m not sure I would pay $30 to edit fonts and make some CSS edits!

We cannot edit templates or themes on free hosted wordpress.com blogs. All blogs wearing the same theme are using the same underlying template on this WPMU (wordpress multi-user) blogging platform. Only Staff can access those files and edit as every edit they make effects all blogs wearing the same theme. In other words, this is a no-can-do without the upgrade and I don’t even know if it can be done with it.

Oh, then I’m done with that idea, bummer, but what the heck ?
