add featured pages to my static front page

  I am trying to add 3 featured pages to my static front page on wordpress.com, Edin theme, but can’t figure out how.

  I did the following:

  1. set my “Services” page as a static front page (it’s a grid page)
  2. Go to Customize –> Theme Options and set “Front page: Featured Page one” to my “Feedback” page, “Front Page: Featured Page two” to my “Philosophie” page, and “Front Page: Featured Page three” to my “Qualifikationen” page. I saved these settings, but my front page still only displays my “Services” page, and not the other 3 featured pages below it. How do I get it to show all those pages, like on the Edin demo?

  The static front page in the Edin demo has the Front Page Template assigned, not the Grid Page Template. See the Front Page Template section of the Edin theme guide.
