If you don’t mind the tab looking odd like this:
http://wpbtips.files.wordpress.com/2009/03/31chaostheory.png?w=400&h=128
Then you could put a link in your navigation tabs:
http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/03/26/page-tabs-as-external-links/The easiest way, though would be to put the link into a text widget.
But your sidebar is on the bottom so it won’t help much.Or try a sticky post with the link to the forum. It will stay on top. But it won’t be visible when readers click on individual posts.

<a href="http://www.teaminfernal.proboards.com/">Forum </a>
You need to have a space. For some reason, without at least one space in the title, the link will fail. -
Plus you hadn’t pasted the actual URL of the forum page: the URL is the complete address as copied from the address bar of your browser. In all, the exact thing you need to put in the title box is what Tess just wrote.
But the result won’t look normal, as Tess told you. If you wouldn’t mind making the Forum tab more prominent, i.e. as a separate tab above the other header tabs, I can give you a different solution.

Doing the trick to put external URL’s in navigation tabs does not work with the theme you are using, Chaos Theory: http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/category/header-tabs/ .

tsp,
Yes it works, but it looks very odd.
As I said it looks like this, but it does work:

“Looks very odd,” or even just “looks odd” for that matter, means “does not work” as far as I’m concerned.
Personally I would not want a menu tab misaligned on my blog, so if the trick results in a misalignment, then that is a “does not work.”
-
No disagreement.
Ok, right, it doesn’t work, but technically it functions.
I think the OP is deciding that it looks too odd for him.
Some one else may prefer function over appearance.I work in a sort of resale shop, and we keep reminding ourselves that we are not the aesthetic police—beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

This is an “outside-the-box trick” that works with some themes and not, or mostly not, with others. It isn’t intended functionality here at wordpress.COM so I would be very surprised if they ever “fix” this.

Don’t know. Officially I think WordPress does not even acknowledge that this works at all, so I’m betting it’s unlikely.
Panlos has a coding trick that might help. I might be able to work it out, but his solution will be more elegant. He’ll probably be around the forum sometime.

Ah, I was out.
Based on an example of Panos’s code, I think this will work:<div style="width:100%;top:50px;position:absolute;"> <table border="0"> <tbody> <tr> <td></td> <td> <div style="background:#393939 none repeat scroll 0 0;font-size:1em;padding-left:.5em;padding-right:.5em;position:relative;z-index:11;"><a href="http://www.teaminfernal.proboards.com/"><span style="color:#f3f3f3;">Forum</span></a></div></td> <td></td> </tr> </tbody></table> </div> -
(@Tess: the one you based this on was with a trickier purpose in mind; you don’t need all that in this case.)
