  I’d like to add a forum to my wordpress blog (lofive.wordpress.com). How can I do this?

  You will have to get a free forum somewhere else, and then link to it on your blog. There is no way to add one directly to your blog here at wordpress.com.

  Rats. Is there any way to get the free forum elsewhere and link it to LoFive as a page or so it will have some uniformity/consistency with the overall theme of the blog?

  No, it will have to be totally separate. You might be able to find one you can fiddle with the design a bit and use the same colours or whatever, but it will definitely look different, and it cannot actually be a page on your blog. It’s going to be an external site linked to from your blog.
