Why do I need a 24,95 subscription a month to add a free plug-in/service from Google, any work around?

Hi.
Only the Business Plan has the possibility to add Google Analytics as an additional plugin. Otherwise we cannot add to the plugins that are already built in to the WordPressdotcom platform. You can read more about that here:

Is there any way to adjust the header code (<head>) of the website or adjust a FTP file?
I feel locked out of my own website by hosting it on WordPress as a free user, while the services I would like to add are free but WordPress will charge me if I would like to use them

No, what you want to do is not possible on WordPress.com
