Add header link?

  How do I add a link to my header that differs from the default? I cannot find how to edit the header.php or other files directly. I would like to link a header click to my external website.

  WordPress.com users aren’t able to change the URL that the header links to. However, you can set up a menu item that links to your external site. Here are some tips on editing your menu:
