Add HTML Code to Sidebar

  Hello!

  I’m new to WordPress.com and am moving my blogs over to WordPress. However, I’m not sure how to add HTML codes to the sidebar. I’m wanting to do this so I can add my interactive weather alerts and things like that.

  If someone could let me know how I can do this I’d really appreciate it.

  Be aware that a lot of prefab widget code includes javascript, flash, etc, all of which is stripped out here. If you paste code into a widget, save it, and nothing shows up, that’s probably why.

  If the site offers an HTML Only version, use that.
