Add Image Rotator Widget Plugin to Free WordPress.com
-
It would be great to add the Image Rotator Widget Plugin, “a widgetized plugin that puts an image rotator on your theme in any sidebar” for users of the free wordpress.com blogs – particularly as it relates to the Header Image. As it stands now, Header Images can either be static or randomly chosen, but the random option just means that there will be a static image (i.e., it will be different each time the site is open, but then remain static). The whole point of having different header images is so that the site viewer can see those different images that are specific to the header. Even with the random option, the viewer will only ever see one header image, unless he or she visits the site multiple time — and then the fact that the header image has changed will just be confusing and make the viewer think he or she is on a different site. If the viewer can see the header image changing as he or she is on the site, this will allow for better recognition and will not leave the viewer confused as to why wordpress has changed the image on separate visits.
