Add image when sharing link?

  Hi there,

  I’m a complete beginner to wordpress and I’m starting to think I’m punching above my weight :/

  Can anyone tell me how I can add an image to my blog so that if I’m ever linking to my blog on an external website, that image pops up? I’m on a free account so i’m not sure if this possible? In short, I’m trying to link my blog to my linkedin summary and when I do, it’s just a random white box.
