Add Link Bugs?

I’m having a devil of a time adding links to my Blogroll and am wondering if I’m hitting a bug in the system. I was able to successfully add one link earlier today but can’t add any new ones now.

In Blogroll > Add Link I go ahead fill out the form, select a couple of categories and hit the Add Link button, but then the form clears. If I go back to the Manage Blogroll tab, my new link doesn’t show up.

Hmm, that’s strange. I add the link again, the form clears again, but now I’ve got duplicate links showing up in the Manage Blogroll tab.

However, neither of these two new links actually shows up in the blogroll on my live page. I’ve only got one lonely link displaying. http://magnislibris.wordpress.com

    Is this a known bug?

Sidebars are cached, although the changes SHOULD show up immediately. I’ve noticed some sidebar weirdness today, in that my latest post isn’t appearing under Recent Posts; that generally happens when datacentres get out of synch, which is a problem staff will have to solve. I would just leave things as they are right now and check again in a few hours, rather than drive yourself insane deleting and re-adding and deleting and re-adding. It’s probably just that they’re not displaying.

I’m having the same problem with trying to add links. I add them, they don’t show up. I check the blogroll, they’re not there, but if I search within the blogroll under their category, they are there (now 4 different times) and they do not show in the side bar :( I did the same under my other blog and same stuff is happening. What’s the deal? grrrrrrrr frustration is ensuing……I certainly hope that they do show up raincoaster, ’cause I’m already driving myself crazy.

If it’s in your Blogroll on the dashboard, don’t mess with it. As raincoaster said, it’s probably a datacenter synchronization issue. The Dashboard you are working with is on one server, but your published blog is probably on another. It’s that way for load balancing. Just get it right in your Dashboard and it should cascade to your blog. If it doesn’t after a few hours, then you’ll probably want to contact support.
