Add link to Cover Block

  Im trying to figure out how to add a link to a cover block on my home page so I can link it to additional pages, without having to pay for an additional plug-in. I cant seem to figure out how to add any links to this type of content.

  Hi there,

  The Cover block does not include a link option. This block is designed for a decorative purpose, rather than functional.

  As an alternative, you can use the Image block and set it to full width for a similar appearance to the cover block. The image block accepts links as described here: https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/image-block/#link-settings

  If you still wish to use a cover block, a common way of linking to additional pages is to insert a Button block over the cover block (the cover block can accept blocks on top of it.) This is a visually appealing way to add links to a cover/banner-style image. Here’s a nice example from the pattern library:
