Add link to external site in sidebar image

  Hi guys,

  I followed the instructions under http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/10/18/put-an-image-in-your-sidebar/ to put an image in my sidebar, but how do I add a link to an external site to that image?

  I’ve juct check it out, but I still can’t see where do I place the path to the external website link in the image. Thanks!

  Ok, if you already have the image in a text widget in your sidebar, you just need to add the following line of code. Be sure to place it before the line of code that begins with <img src=

  hmmm. the line of code I added got removed from my post. If you go to the FAQ link that ellaella provided, and then scroll down to the “Image Links” section, you’ll see how your html code should look in your text widget. the first line of code (href=) indicates where an image will link to. you just need to add the “href=” line and make sure that you replace “wordpress.com” with the URL of the site you want to link to.
