Add map to travel blog
-
Hi, I have my travel blog at guntherandkara.com hosted by wordpress with a custom domain. I also have a map of my travels at travellerspoint.com and would like to add that map to the sidebar as a widget similar to what I’ve seen on other blogs. I added a text widget and pasted in the code I copied from travellerspoint (it starts <div and has a couple of lines of stuff finishing with div>) for embedding the map but instead of getting a little map on the page when it is loaded I get a link to the map at travelers point. I also tried just putting in the direct http:// url of the map but that doesn’t display at all.
Does anybody know how to do this? What I would like is to get a small image showing the map and clicking on the image opens a new page with the map from travellerspoint. I’m using the Twenty Ten theme. Thanks for any assistance you can provide.

It would be useful to see the “lines of stuff” in between the divs. It is possible that it contains code that is not allowed on wordpress.com sites. http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
If you can post the full code, put it between back tick characters as shown in the notes to the left of the box where you type your reply.
