add media

I tried uploading more media than what’s already on my site, which hasn’t been active for over a year. It didn’t load, which tells me I perhaps need to buy more space. How do I do that?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The site mentioned in my original post (deepriverwithin.com) isn’t the one I need help with. It’s one of my private sites for a course. Additional question: if I buy extra space for media and pay the yearly fee, can I cancel it and get a refund part-way through the year?

Hi,
You can check how much space you have left by going here: WP Admin > Media > Library.
You can purchase more space by upgrading your plan. Learn more about the space offered and other options of each plan here: https://wordpress.com/plans/
Within a period of 30 days you can request a refund if you’re not happy.

Thank you! I checked and it says: “You are currently using 545.9 MB out of 3.0 GB upload limit (18%).”
Hmmm. That changes my question to: why would I not have been able to upload a relatively small mp3? Any thoughts? -

What is the exact URL of the private site?

Re: MP3s
Assuming you are referring to a site hosted by wordpress.com all support docs are at https://en.support.wordpress.com/
Search for audio https://en.support.wordpress.com/?s=audio
Results https://en.support.wordpress.com/audio/Upload audio to your site
You can upload the files to your site if you have the Personal, Premium or Business plan. https://wordpress.com/pricing/
These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog. Create a new post or page or edit a current one, and click the Add Media button.
