I do not see Add Media button near formatting icons. I know I seen it in last blog I created. I am still new at this. Help.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You’re not seeing the following button?
https://scwgno.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=693&action=edit
If so, please clear your browser’s cache:
If that doesn’t work, try replicating the issue in another browser (e.g., Firefox, Chrome).
If you are still having a problem, let me know, and we can take the next troubleshooting step, once I get more feedback.

Thought I would menion: I do not see row of buttons: “Add Media” “Add Poll” “Add Contact Form” “Add Location” on SCWG blog; however, when I use the same browser with my other WordPress blog (awolp), I do see the buttons.
I took your suggestsions. I cleared the cache. In addition, i tried to get on wordpress.com with Chrome, Firefox and Internet Explorer – do not show buttons for my SCWG blog but for AWOLP blog, I do see the buttons, as well as Internet Explorer from a different computer. I notice the navigation pane is different in bothL AWOLP blog has a “Go Premium” button at the top right of the screen, whereas the SCWG blog, no “Go Premium” button is present. Any other suggestions! By the way, thanks for help.

Contributor. Many authors in our writers group – we are only contributors to SCWG website.
-
Then that is why you cannot add media, etc. You need to be an admin to buy upgrades too.
-
Well, I’m confused.
I’ve been a contributor and have blogged before on SCWG blog with no problem of adding images through the Add Media button. In addition, other contributors to SCWG website have no problem adding images. It is only me that is having a problem. ??
Now I thought about creating the blog in my personal blog (since it will allow me to add images there), then copy and paste text/images from awolp blog to scwg blog – I do not know what else to do.
-
Contributors cannot add images. Authors and editors can.
And yes, that’s the workaround. Use the actual HTML code and paste it into the Text editor.
-
Thank you. I copied text + image from personal blog to SCWG blog and it works. Great workaround.
since I am part of a group, maybe once adm of our website gives me rights to blog regularly on my own, maybe I will get image privileges. Right now, she asks that she review my blog before it gets published.
Thank you so much for your help. Appreciate.

As @raincoaster stated, your user role on a site determines what functionality you have access to. You can find out more about the Contributor role here:

Thanks so much. Just what I was looking for. I copied roles and sent to admin of website. You’re wonderful! Have great day.
