Add media button disappeared

  My ‘new post’ screen has updated and I have unfortunately lost the ‘add media’ button. This means I can’t insert pictures/gifs/videos etc into my blog posts. I’m not sure if I can’t find the button or if it’s not there – but I would appreciate someone pointing out where I could locate the thing! Thanks in advance :)

  hi there,

  The post interface that you access via http://wordpress.com/post is undergoing some changes right now, and the problems you are experiencing are part of the growing pains. Additional changes to the interface are expected, but in the meantime you can post to your blog by going to your blog’s dashboard and posting from there. The direct link to your blog’s posting page is https://strawberrydrapes.wordpress.com/wp-admin/post-new.php

  I tried doing the same and my media button still isn’t available.

  This site http://kimlynphotography.com/ is not hosted by WordPress>COM. We provide support only for free hosted WordPress.COM blogs and you are posting to the wrong support forum.

  WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  There will be further new iterations of the post editor at https://wordpress.com/post/ and that is why the advice is to go to Dashboard > Post > Add New
