"Add media" button not working

  I’m trying to upload photos to a draft post on my blog dianescookbooks.wordpress.com, which I’ve never had trouble doing before. today, when I click the camera icon on the “add media” area, the diagonal line grinds and grinds but never offers me the next screen. Is this a known problem, or is it me?

  OK, I think I figured it out. An automatic upgrade to Windows Explorer that I received involved blocking mixed content — i.e., when a site contains both secure and nonsecure items. For some reason it thinks WordPress contains mixed content and wouldn’t upload my photos. I disabled that security feature, and now I can add photos again. For now, at least.
