Add MENU label to hamburger nav icon in responsive themes

  I chose the Illustratr theme for my portfolio site primarily because it’s responsive. I work in the UX world, and have learned from industry articles and through my own usability testing that the “hamburger icon” is still not recognized as a navigational element by many users of mobile devices.

  Can the Illustratr theme be updated to offer an option to add the word “MENU” next to the hamburger icon (for tablet/mobile screen sizes)?

  Thanks for the suggestion! As indicated through private email, I’ve passed this along to our theme developers, and I’ll let you know when we have a definitive answer.
