Add multiple featured images at one time

  I want to be able to add multiple featured images to my custom posts at the same time.

  The problem: Client needs to upload a large group of photos for each ‘Project’ (this is the custom post type). My theme is currently using the Ultimate Post Thumbnails plugin to achieve this, however the client must add each featured image individually from the Media library.

  I am wondering if there is a way to alter this slightly in order to choose multiple images in the media library that will automatically add additional Featured Images. (the images are in turn used in a slider in the post view)

  The client is projecting to upload anywhere from 30-150 photos per day, which as you can imagine, would get quite tedious of they had to all be attached one-by-one to the posts.

  My idea is to use the Add from Server plugin so the client can upload a bunch of images via FTP easily, but then my next problem is how to allow them to conveniently attach the images to the custom post?

  Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
