why cant i add my own theme to my website?? is it a hard thing to do ??your themes are old and not very nice so please just let us put our own theme to the website

If your blog is hosted here at WordPress.com you cannot upload your own theme. We are on a shared blogging platform and that means we don’t have access to the inner workings of our blog. If you want to do this kind of work, you need to get some webspace of your own and download software from wordpress.org and then you can use any WP-compatible theme you can get the rights to.

If there’s a theme that you would like added, best bet would be to send in a feedback and make the suggestion. Be sure to include a link to the home page of the theme as well as the reasons why you want it added.
Please also want the pronouns as ‘we’ here in the forums are the volenteers who help out and have no backend access nor any offical status here at wp.com.
You may also want to take a few minutes and read through the FAQ sticky at the head of the forums as your question is covered in there.
