Add name of logged in user on a specific page

    I want to create a page that will display a logged in users name.

    How can I do that?

    Hi @olahall, I’m sure there’s a plugin for that. I would also guess that many plugins might have some feature like that built in if they require users to log in. Do you want to share more info about the kind of case you’re working with?

    I know that I can reach out through chat. I already did, but didn’t find any solution for this.

    What I want to create is a certificate for the user to download or print.

    I know there are awsome plugins for it. But they all hav me an expensive payment plan, around 1000 USD/year.

    I think I can achieve a very close feature for free…

    My idea is to create a printable page with a layout that makes it look like a certificate.
    Then I make the page restricted and only accessible to users that I approve.

    On this page should then have the name of the person/user. So in order for me to avoid creating a seperate page for each user, I could simply add a code that display the name of the logged in user.

    I dont need any other things.

    I’m not aware of such a plugin and from what you’re describing I find it really hard for it to be free.

    You can ask the WordPress community over at the WordPress.org forums (https://wordpress.org/support/forums/) if they have any suggestions for a plugin or a custom-coded solution.

    Is it really that hard???

    The only thing i need is to display the name of the logged in user…that´s it!

    Do I really need a plugin to do that???

    Well, such a feature requires custom code so, unless you’re comfortable with creating it yourself, you would need to find a plugin.

    It’s out of the scope of our support, I’m afraid but, if you’re don’t find any recommendations on the community forums, I think you could try Codeable. They may be able to develop the plugin for you.
