‘add new’ button missing in plugin page

Hi. My ‘add new’ button is missing in the plugin page. Actually it’s also missing on the themes page but at least I can ftp that to the themes folder. I have tried using the default theme AND turning off all my plugins to see if that was the issue. It is not. In addition I have also manually upgraded to the latest wordpress 4.9.7 (as I was unable to do it with the one-touch-button, a common problem with the version of wordpress I was on). I have googled my pants off and can’t find anything else to try. Please help!!!

  • Hello there, it seems like your site is not hosted on WordPress.com. There’s no FTP and upgrade option on sites hosted on WordPress.com. So most probably you’re using the WordPress software and have your site hosted at another web hosting provider.

Regarding the issue you’re facing, you’re recommended to post your questions at the WordPress.org forum and seek help from the experts and volunteer members there. You may need to register an account if you don’t already have one.
