  I’m trying to add a ThingLink plugin to my free WordPress sites, but I can’t seem to be authorized to do so. How do I add it?

  Hi marinahassap,

  If you’re using a self hosted WordPress site please visit the WordPress.org forums at wordpress.org/support. This forum is for websites hosted by WordPress.com.

  WordPress.com includes some plugins automatically, but you cannot add plugins to a WordPress.com hosted site.

  Hi Marina,

  I’m sory, plugins are not permitted here at wordpress.COM for security reasons, they are only applicable to self-hosted blogs and web sites using the WordPress.ORG software.

  Actually, I figured out how to do it using coding. For anyone who is interested, I just added [embed]URL[/embed] and my interactive ThingLink image is fully functioning without the need for a plug in

  If it is now possible to use an embed shortcode for ThingLink here on WordPressdotcom websites, a lot of people will be doing a happy dance.
