“Add New Site” not creating sites
-
I decided to try making a personal site through wordpress to showcase some projects, but going through the “Add New Site” process yields nothing. The site creation steps appear and I follow them through the “plan choice” page. After that it shows a loading bar (presumably to indicate the site is being created) and then im redirected back to the sites dashboard. My dashboard remains completely empty, nothing is being created.
It feels like I’m being blocked from creating sites, so I’m thinking this is possibly an account issue. It’s incredibly frustrating that no support exists for free users in the event of wordpress core functionality or account issues. Why would I want to upgrade when I can’t use any of the additional features while this issue persists?
Anyway, I’m hoping staff sees this and is able to help. I’ve already tried the general fixes like reloading, clearing cookies and site data, etc. I haven’t been active on my account in awhile and it doesn’t have any preexisting sites, domains, etc. My browser extensions are also disabled so there’s nothing blocking anything on my end from what I can tell. -
I do have the same issue – freshly created account via GitHub, it works neither via Firefox nor Chromium, so I’ll assume this is not a browser issue.

Hi all, on what screen are you trying to add a new site? Is it https://dashboard.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=my-blogs and then clicking the “Register Another Blog” button at the bottom right or at https://wordpress.com/sites and then clicking on the “Add New Site” button at the top right?
If neither of those links are relevant, do share where you’re trying to do that. And let us know what steps you took successfully before you encountered a problem will help too.
Noting also that if you ever had a suspended site in your account, you’ll not be able to create a new site on WordPress.com.
