Add new theme button not showing

  Hi, I am on a free plan and cannot see any button “add theme” in the Appearance/Themes, anything I missed?

  Nope. There is no such button. External themes, plugins, javascript, iframes, and flash cannot be added to WordPress.com blogs for security reasons. They can be added to WordPress.org blogs. WP.com blogs have the 250 or so themes on the Dashboard Themes page.

  stephanecedroni – as raincoaster said, WordPress.com provides a range of themes to our users, but it’s not possible to upload outside themes. You can browse and search the theme directory here:

  https://wordpress.com/themes/

  If you’re looking for a specific type of theme, just let me know and I’ll try to help you find something that meets your site’s needs.
