Add only specific categories to a page

Hi. I am using woocommerce with the storefront theme.
I have created 2 pages – one Cat and 1 Dog. I have created product categories eg. dog toys and cat toys.
On my dog page, all was good in that it showed all the categories I had created (8 of them), until I created my cat toys category which now appears on the Dog page ( I think that is because the shortcode there is orderby=”menu_order” so I’m guessing it will pick anything up that’s on the navigation menu). I only want dog categories on this page.
On my Cat page, only the product (fish toy) appears and not the category. I have researched any number of shortcodes but the last thing I read was that created pages are not able to display only selected categories.
I am now desperate for some help please as I don’t seem to be able to find an answer on the internet or forums.
