add option of “search comments” to search

  It’d be nice to be able to search the comments in addition to searching blog posts. Often I get good information in comments – and I’m sure my readers feel the same. While I’m able to go into my own dashboard and search the comments, it might be nice to have the option to search comments too. I guess I’m envisioning a search where there were two buttons “search blog” and “search comments also” or something like that.

  absolutely. why isn’t the search widget configurable in a way that you can search comments as well? a blog search which doesn’t search the comments is rather misleading and especially for the blog author frustrating as he/she often looks for things mentioned by the readers in the comments. for the moment i use google site search but that is not very satisfactory.
