add or delete number pages
-
I’m setting up the site up to show jpeg pictures that are listed alphabetically. Over time, pictures will be added or deleted. How can I do that and still maintain the correct order? 150 pages? 1 page with 150 pictures?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
Without having the full context you could do either case (1 page with 150 pictures or 150 pages) however, both require some amount of manual work as WordPress doesn’t store nor show media natively “by alphabetical order”.
- In the first case, every time you add an image you need to position it in the right place, however, that would end up being a single page with a large amount of pictures, leading to a very heavy page in terms of loading. This would make me recommend the second option:
- If you create several pages, the key will be having a parent page that works as an index. There you can have a sorted list of all your content and you can order it in whatever order you want. In this case a new post for every picture you will face several advantages:
- You can have further content related to the picture to be added)
- Regarding SEO, your site will feel more updated than if you just added images to a page that eventually will be “old”.
Best regards
