Add picture to page?

  I am new (as of today!) I am trying to add a picture under the text on my about me page. I have clicked on the add picture button, uploaded a picture and it is in my ‘gallery’ But for some reason it is not showing up??
  I may be missing something very basic!

  With the about page open in the page editor, place the cursor where you want the image to be. Since the image has already been uploaded, click on the “media library” button (round spiky looking grey icon) find the image, click on the “show” link on the right of the thumbnail. Select the size you wish to insert, and the alignment, then click the “insert into page” button and it should then appear in the page.
