Add pin it button to posts

  Can you tell me how to add a pin it button to my individual blog posts, ideally to each photo?

  Hi Mandy,

  You can add a “pin it” button to your blog posts by enabling the Pinterest sharing button under Settings > Sharing in your blog’s dashboard. If you’d like the button on your blog post to say “Pin It” (rather than “Pinterest”) you can enable the Official button style in your sharing settings, too. We have more details about those settings here: Sharing

  There isn’t a way to add that button to each photo, only blog posts as whole. However, I let our developers know that’s a feature you’re interested in, so they’ll keep in mind as they continue working on the sharing features at WordPress.com.

  The “Pin it” hover button for individual photos has been added. It should get auto-enabled if you have connected Pinterest in Settings > Sharing and selected the “Official buttons” option for button style setting.
